Its been an uneventful day. After all the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong (pics of which i will post eventually) rushing about getting things done, meeting people, shopping and bargaining, work seems very slow.. uneventful.
I stumbled across this today. It was interesting trying to use my wrist to write. Tough it was. Anyhow in the end I managed to 'mouse' something similar to my signature and had it analysed. Here are my results :
You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
You are a shy, idealistic person who does not find it easy to have relationships, especially intimate ones.
You are diplomatic, objective, and live in the present.
You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action.
You are self-confident and like to bring attention to yourself.
Go have a try! If your day is just as slow as mine is, you'll have plenty of time to do and redo your signature till you are happy with it.

Chinese New Year bliss
Its Chinese New Year ! :)
Whoa.. its been non stop eating for the past couple of days. Celebrations were fun this year. Our family had to attend two reunion meals, can't call it dinner because its impossible to be in two different places at the same time having dinner. Our two reunion meals were at two different states so we spent about half the day on the eve of New Year on the road travelling to the first destination, then the second before heading on home.
It was a reunion lunch followed by a reunion dinner. Lunch was a 8 course meal while dinner was steamboat with all the lovely chinese goodies i.e abalone, scallops, clams etc. The following day we had another big lunch which was of course followed up with dinner. Phew.. I need to go on a diet !
:) The other reason for all the joy and excitement this year is because I'm off to Hong Kong on the fourth day of Chinese New Year! Yippee! I'm so excited. What better place to be for the post New Year sales? Hurrah! I count it all joy...
List of items to purchase:
1. Nice weaved leather belt.
2. 3 pairs of shoes
3. Bangles/bracelets
4. Skirts & tops
5. Other miscellanous items that catches my fancy
Whoopee! Of course my boyfriend isn't too keen on me buying so much :p but hyeh.. its Hong Kong!
Happy CNY everyone!

For the love of children
Fri night : Sing
Sat morn : Sing
Sat noon : Sing
Sat night : Sing
Sun morn : Sing
Last weekend was a camp weekend. The camp was for kids aged 6- 12 years, themed missions. I wasn't roped in to teach but instead to lead in the singing session. And my... it was tiring! There was lots of jumping, yelling, waving arms in the air, laughing and of course, singing. :) All the songs we did were action songs and if you can imagine it... singing, making actions, giving cues to the musicians and holding the attention of the kids all in one go is a mammoth task!
Favourite song phrases at the camp..
" Gird up your armor, let's go to WAR!! "
" No no no, never never, uh..uh..uh "
It was a really fun weekend albeit tiring. Its amazing how a 60 pounder can eat 4 big sandwiches and run around tirelessly all day while a 20+ year old teacher can barely stomach 2 sandwiches and falls behind after 30 minutes of non stop activity in exhaustion. Age is catching up.
Will post a pic of those kids. Soon...

Its been awhile.
Its been 2 years and a bit since I last made an entry in this blog. What got me back on to this page? Well I have always contemplated getting into blogging once again but never went ahead with the idea because admittedly, I lack the discipline it takes to log on and write about my day.
:) Coming back here has been a nostalgic short 20 minute read. Reading my past entries made me realise more about myself that I never thought I knew. For the first time I felt like I was looking into a window and seeing in there, myself. For the first time I feel exposed.... to me.
Where have I been these past 2 years? What has happened? What has changed? Much has. When I first started this blog in June 03 it was my intention that I should remain anonymous. No close friend of mine is to know I have a blog and read it. Even if they did, they were not to know its by me. It was meant to be the online notebook of my very personal thoughts, innermost ramblings and downright truthful feelings. An outlet for my self expression. However of late I am starting to feel differently about things. Maybe I shouldn't be so concerned about people who are close to me knowing my thoughts. Maybe I shouldn't mind if my life is an open book. Maybe. Well that is left to be seen. For now, anonymous is good.
I'm glad to be in here. I shall start putting in regular entries. I guess this is the longest hiatus anyone has ever taken from their blog. 2.5 years !

Music is the best thing to wake up to. I don't know about others but music definitely sets the mood for me. It doesn't matter if its a happy, sad, melancholic or romantic mood... music does it for me. I'm a morning person as well so the first thing I do when I wake is to head to the hi-fi and play my favourite fast and upbeat songs, get into the groove and start jumping around the house.
Right now I'm listening to classical music while cramming my brain with stuff for my final paper on Wednesday. The paper totally sucks and I hate it. I guess it's mainly because I know I'm not gonna do well for it. sigh.... But classical works... it works. Hopefully I will know and understand enough to write a proper and mature essay to support my arguments by Wednesday. Give me calculations any day... just don't give me theories and models to argue about and I'll be fine. I soo hate this subject.
I am a real numbers person. I have just realized that all my passwords are made out of different sequences of numbers. I had a friend point that out to me the other day. Imagine having different sets of numbers to remember as a passwords. How I do it I don't know but I prefer that to having words as passwords. That tells me where my passion lies I suppose. Maths... and more maths.

Well, well... another day has come ! Life is a neverending circle of waking and sleeping. :)
I have often questioned the wisdom of the theory of the circle of life. The one that believes that the existence of mankind is due to evolution. The one that says we come from apes. It's kinda degrading don't you think to be compared to an ape ? I refuse to believe that that is true. It's not an issue about ego. If you think about it, if that were true, then life is meaningless. There is no value to our existence since we are just animals. Nothing more than a dog or a cat, just that we have more brains. And what do brains matter ? Nothing ..
I choose to not believe that our existence was an accident. I refuse to think that some grub millions of years ago chose to crawl out from the mud, eventually started growing arms and legs, started walking and finally had some grey matter form in the top part of its body.
Why should we be equalled to an animal ? One would think that with such junk being fed into our minds, it's no wonder that we have more and more occurences of disturbing behaviour and violence displayed amongst us. People can just blame their roots ( because of animal ancestry ) for their own failures. We have more value and meaning in our lives than that.
Have you ever thought to yourself ' Why am I here? ' ' What is my purpose in life ?' I'm sure we have all had those thoughts. If you have not, there will come a time when you will ask yourself those questions. Well, to all who seek the answers , one thing is for sure, it ain't gonna be found in the theory of evolution.
